Abstract

“Images of resistance: aesthetic and political dimensions”, organized by Leandro R. Lage (EDUFBA, 2021) is a collection created to think about the Amazon and its historical or everyday upheavals based on the multiple expressive potentialities of images. It brings together texts by authors from the Amazon and other regions, who have in common research or reflection on the image and its affectations confronted with the theme of resistance, insurgencies, uprisings. Reflections that understand the image in relation to political struggles beyond the dimension of registration and representation, as an expressiveness of multiple sensibilities.
